Cats and books. They just go hand in hand, don’t they? Like jam and toast. And at a small bookstore in Hong Kong, they only know it too well. The SAM KEE Book Company has become known as an unofficial sanctuary for stray cats after its owners began offering their cozy bookshelves and reading nooks as a home for the animals who would otherwise be roaming the streets.

The bookstore even has a hall of fame with photographs of all the cats that have been adopted as permanent residents of the ‘SAM KEE’.

The kitties are well-fed and given beds, toys and all the affection they could need from the regular flow of customers browsing books.
The little bookstore is also overloaded with cat decorations, but judging by your presence on the internet, you like cats, so you probably wouldn’t mind…
I’m personally more of a dog person, but I’m all for literate cats.
