It’s only fair that on a Friday afternoon you should indulge in a little procrastination. And luckily, you’ve come to the right person….
“Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday”
(A quote by someone that’s not famous enough to mention.. but was probably really good at procrastination).
Option 1:
It’s time to get acquainted with the funniest man on the web. The Oatmeal a.k.a Matthew Inman, designs, writes and draws everything on his site. The first time I visited the Oatmeal, I remember feeling like I had found a kindred spirit; one that shared my belief that all cats are plotting to kill us and that there is no torture more cruel than calling customer services. I’ve selected a most general example of his work as a taster below (how to such at Facebook), but please do consider his varied comical offerings such as the Six Crappiest Interview Questions, 7 Things you Don’t Need to Take a Picture of and delightful quizzes such as How Many Justin Biebers Could You Take in a Fight.
Ok I just want to show you one more…
(if you came over to my house, this is what I do, I show people my favourite links on the internet. It’s really fun.)

Friday afternoons will never be the same again…
Option 2:
Play Twister on Your Keyboard
Do you really want to pass up the opportunity to play Twister with your fingers on a keyboard?
I didn’t think so… Choose program 2 on ASCII Aerobics
Option 3:
Get on the Royal Wedding Bandwagon
There’s so much water-cooler talk going on about this royal wedding and thank-goodness there are some people that see the occasion for what it really is: an opportunity to make fun of really posh people.
Bookmark ‘Kate Middleton for the Win’
(The best thing to come out of the Royal engagement).
Option 4:
Make Panda Bread
I must not forget my friends who might not be sitting in an office, aiming at the clock with their fingers in the shape of a gun. Some of us ‘creative’ types do work from home and by golly does that open doors to the realm of procrastination. Take your office into the kitchen on Friday afternoon and try out this Panda bread recipe with green tea and cocoa
Proving procrastination can have quite an adorable result… find the recipe here
Option 5:
Go to the loo and take this with you…
This one is more for the boys, who will forever surprise me with the amount of time one likes to spend on a toilet while reading mind-numbing material (or whatever magazine supplement happens to be lying on the floor of the cubicle). Upgrade your reading material in your stall with The Toilet Paper. Not your average toilet paper, THE Toilet Paper – as in the email digest that’s perfect for 10-15 minute “meetings.” Learn an incomprehensibly large amount that’s witty, digestible and will help you waste pass the time.
