I need to prioritise some Euro tripping with my girlfriends this summer, but of course getting a group of your ladies together even just for a night out can sometimes feel a little like herding cats. I think I found a place however, that will get their attention. I’ll tell them to meet me at the Wanda Café Optimista, or the Girlfriends Café as I’ve decided to call it, in Madrid.
Warning: this may just be too much eye-candy for girlfriend to handle.
It’ll be our meeting place, our starting point, where we’ll pull out the maps and the train timetables and spend hours planning our Euro trip over juicy salads and strawberry mojitos.
(Sorry boys, you’ll have to sit this one out).
Isn’t it just perfectly pretty in every way? It’s everything we wish our apartments could be for even just one day, oozing summer vibes and vitality and positivity– and piña coladas! No seriously, one of the pastel shades used by the café designers is actually called “piña colada”.
The guys behind all this eye-candy design heaven are a group called Parolio (you can see their other stuff here) and their goal was to bring some happiness back to Madrid after years of recession. Note to self: fluorescent Parisian café chairs make me very happy.
So meet me at Wanda Café, we’ll make it our summer breakfast club.
