So you might have noticed I’m pretty into needlework lately. If you’re picturing me curled up on an armchair doing the needlework myself– yeah, I’m not quite there yet. I just really, really like looking at this stuff and I’m thinking I need to made an entire wall of embroideries and cross-stitches in antique frames. One very important addition to my theoretical wall of needlework would be one of these gorgeous stitches by an artist called TinyCup Needleworks, a.k.a Cleveland-based Britt Hutchinson, who specialises in all things morbid and threaded.
She calls it “hand embroidery for the high lonesome”, her themes include everything from from occult Mexican folklore to mystical witchery. She works only on commissions but she’s so in-demand that she currently can’t even accept anymore submissions until 2018. She does have a few things in her shop, but in the meantime, have a browse through these ghoulish lovelies just in time for some Halloween inspiration…
